Let's start at the very beginning. You may be asking, "What is CalAIM?" As a refresher, CalAIM, also known as California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal, is a multi-year process led by the California Department of Health Care Services which began on January 1st, 2022. The goal of this plan is to improve the quality of life and health of Medi-Cal enrollees.

If you’re looking for more information about the CalAIM initiative, visit our CalAIM Compliance and Support page for the most up-to-date information, and check out another helpful blog post with everything you need to know

Exym has spent the last several months observing and learning more about CalAIM in order to update our software accordingly. We are excited to share some exciting improvements coming soon:

1. A new form builder that will allow customers to create better forms and documents, such as assessments and outcome measures.

2. The CalAIM-required Problem List feature will give customers the following capabilities:

  • View problems while completing a note

  • Add problems to the list from a note

  • Manage data in Problem List tables

  • Include newly created diagnoses in the Problem List

The Problem List feature will be available on July 1st. For the form builder, we are tentatively looking at an ETA of October 1st, but will keep you posted on any changes to that date.

We have tried to anticipate any questions you may have in our CalAIM FAQ document below, but if you need any assistance, please reach out to Exym Customer Support at (714) 657-3500.
