Chief Executive Officer
As CEO, Beth is Exym's strategic leader. She sets the company vision with a laser-focus on building a best-in-class product for California behavioral health agencies. With a decade of experience working in software, Beth brings a wealth of product and management expertise from her time at Google.
Beth earned her bachelor's degree from Brown University and her MBA from Stanford University. She serves on the board of advisors for INFORUM at the Commonwealth Club and enjoys spending mornings running with Back on My Feet, an organization that combats homelessness through the power of running, community support, and housing resources.
Elise Witek, LMHC
Director of Customer Accounts
As Director of Customer Accounts, Elise grows relationships with existing Exym users and develops connections with new ones. Bringing both software and mental health industry experience to the Exym team, Elise blends advocacy and efficiency, to facilitate a responsive and customer-centered approach with Exym users.
In addition to her past experience as an Account Executive and Manager of Sales, Elise is a licensed mental health counselor with a Masters in Counseling Psychology. She previously practiced as a clinician at the world’s longest-serving LGBT mental health agency in Seattle, WA and remains dedicated to reducing disparities in mental health care for underserved populations. In her spare time, Elise plays her many instruments, spends hours in her kitchen, and loves to travel the globe.
Juan M. Piscione
As one of Exym’s Product Owners, Juan works to maximize the value of Exym by closely working with the development team on building and enhancing features. Juan’s Exym experience spans Customer Implementations, Customer Support, and Product Ownership.
Previously, Juan held a variety of management positions for a Behavioral Health and Social Services Non-Profit Organization. Juan focused on information technology needs, and implementing and supporting Electronic Health Record Systems in the areas of Behavioral Health and Foster Care.
Juan earned his Bachelor of Business Administration, with a focus on Management, from American Intercontinental University. In addition to spending time with his family, Juan’s hobbies include cycling and anything that relates to technology.
Reporting and Data Services Manager
Danine Livingood joined the Exym team in 2009 as a report writer and project manager and now leads Exym’s Reporting and Data Services efforts. She is responsible for creating, updating and managing all reports in Exym as well as overseeing the development of Exym’s analytics tool.
Prior to working at Exym, Danine worked at several community behavioral health clinics in the Los Angeles area where she helped transition providers from paper charts and manual billing to cloud based EHRs and EDI billing. Prioritizing employee efficiency and clinical timeliness, she worked to develop reports and processes to streamline billing and data entry as well as develop tools for clinical tracking for quality assurance purposes.
Danine earned her B.S. in Biology from Arizona State University.
Software Development Manager
Patrick first joined the Exym development team (way back!) in 2003, and now serves as Exym’s Software Development Manager. Patrick is involved in all things related to product development and enhancements.
Following Patrick’s achievement of a BSc in Computer Science, he worked as a web developer with a marketing agency, a software development company, and a telephone company before venturing out on his own as an independent contractor.
When he is not working with his brain in front of screens, he likes to work with his hands away from screens – home maintenance and improvements, restoration and upgrades on his 1979 Mustang. Almost 9 years ago, Patrick and his wife started a long-term project together that takes up much of their time: developing a person from scratch. They are less than half-way to the projected release date, but he’s turned out quite nicely so far!
Stephanie Jenkins joined Exym in May of 2013. As Exym’s Implementation Manager, Stephanie is the leader of the Implementation team. She onboards new customers and trains users on how to utilize the software. Stephanie is passionate about building strong working relationships with the customers in order to provide them with the best implementation experience possible.
Prior to Exym, Stephanie worked at a behavioral health agency for four years. During this time, she worked as a Quality Improvement and Electronic Medical Records Coordinator. Stephanie learned the Exym software from an end-user perspective and developed a deep understanding of the Department of Mental Health documentation compliance standards.
Stephanie has a B.A. in sociology from California State University, Fullerton.
Jose Valle, LCSW
Customer Success Representative
Jose Valle is a Customer Success Representative at Exym. Jose’s Exym experience includes Customer Implementations and the development of the Customer Success Program. Jose’s current role at Exym is focused on supporting customers and onboarding new organizations.
Prior to joining the Exym team, Jose practiced in the sectors of social work and community mental health. For over a decade, Jose focused on supporting children and families while employed at the county level and in the Non-Profit sector.
Jose is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned his Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Northridge and a bachelors in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Product Owner, Billing & Outcomes
Becca has had over 15 years of experience in Information Systems and Software Development, with many of those years in the Behavioral Health space. She joined the team at Exym as the Product Owner of Billing and Outcomes in Spring of 2019 and is excited to help continue to develop functionality to support customer needs and county requirements. When she isn’t working at her keyboard, she enjoys Ironman Triathlons and weaving. Obviously not at the same time!
