Exym is an electronic health record (EHR) company that serves behavioral and mental health providers in Los Angeles County. As residents of California ourselves, we are all experiencing the same day-to-day changes in terms of our work, family lives, and mental wellbeing. With our providers on the front lines of delivering crucial services to communities across LA County, we are committed to reducing their burden of adapting to COVID-19 changes, so that they can focus on delivering their services.
Our deep history in LA County has helped us move fast to incorporate changes communicated from the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health: including rate increases, adjusted rules surrounding the use of telehealth and telephones, consent forms, and procedure codes. Our software team’s philosophy is that we want to enable our providers to stay focused on delivering needed services; we’re here to take on the back end heavy lifting.
To help LA County providers with their documentation and billing, we added telehealth and telephone options to the Place of Service field in our activity tracking module. We’ve also updated our rates matrixes to match the rate increases that LA County released for specific services due to COVID-19. Through our user community forum, we have asked providers who are transitioning to telehealth services to contact us directly, so that we can make sure their billing is set up properly. Finally, we are prioritizing work on our product roadmap to make sure that Exym makes the transition to remote work as seamless as possible for our provider partners.
